Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • Originality: The manuscript is original, has not been previously published, and is not under consideration by another journal.
  • Anonymisation: The main manuscript file has been anonymised and contains no author-identifying information to support the double-blind peer-review process.
  • Abstract and Keywords: An abstract and 6–8 relevant keywords have been included.
  • Figures, Tables, and References: All figures and tables are directly relevant to the study, properly numbered, captioned, and cited within the text. References and in-text citations are complete, accurate, and formatted in accordance with APA style (latest edition).
  • File Format and Compliance: The text is single-spaced, uses a 12-point font, and the submission file is in an acceptable editable format (Microsoft Word), complying with the journal's Article Format Structure and Author Guidelines.
  • Author Approval: All authors have reviewed, approved, and agreed to the submission of the manuscript.
  • ORCID Requirement: Valid ORCID iDs have been provided for all authors.
  • Ethical Compliance: Where applicable, the manuscript includes information regarding ethical approval, informed consent, and compliance with relevant research ethics requirements.
  • AI Disclosure: The use of generative AI tools has been disclosed on the Title Page in accordance with the journal's AI Disclosure requirements. If no generative AI tools were used, the authors confirm this on the Title Page.
  • Conflict of Interest and Funding Disclosure: Any funding sources and potential conflicts of interest have been appropriately disclosed within the manuscript.

Author Guidelines

Manuscripts must be submitted online by one of the listed authors through the journal's manuscript submission system. Submissions from individuals who are not authors of the manuscript will not be considered. Authors are required to upload two separate files: (1) a Title Page containing the manuscript title, author details, affiliations, ORCID iDs, acknowledgments, funding information, AI disclosure statement, and author contribution statements; and (2) a blinded Main Manuscript file with all author-identifying information removed to facilitate double-blind peer review.

Authors may optionally suggest up to four potential reviewers in their cover letter. Suggested reviewers should possess relevant expertise in the manuscript's subject area and should not have any conflicts of interest with the authors. The editorial team reserves the right to determine whether any suggested reviewers will be invited to participate in the peer-review process.
